Over 1,600 NewPointers went out into their communities to serve and give back. The projects included weeding and landscaping at schools, parks, and community buildings; delivering cookies to fire men and police men; visiting in nursing homes; delivering food to local food pantries; and many other things. We purposely canceled church to go out and BE the church.
I am getting emails and cards from people I don't know telling me to let the NewPointe people how thankful they are for the church.
I am also getting emails from parents sharing stories how it has impacted their families, especially their children . I believe this serves as a great reminder for those of us who have decided to follow Christ-- that church is not so much about receiving as it is giving.
Our whole family experienced the joy of serving and making a difference in the community that you live in.
