1Timothy 6:10 “ for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s .. "This is being lived out in front of our eyes. Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Reggie Bush, Kelvin Sampson, Brian McNamee have pierced themselves with many grief’s and it basically goes back to money ….
My thought is that they wanted to play longer, get a bigger contract, have a promising career after sports etc . . .
This is no doubt just a small glimpse of our society today. No doubt there are hundreds of thousands of people who have done the same, yet will never be on the news .
