My mother went back into the hospital Monday, for further tests in her battle with cancer. The doctors told us that my mother has stomach cancer that is inoperable.
What can I say? It is a very sad time for the Mason family. But in the middle of all of this is great testimony of faith. Mom told us how ready she is to go to Heaven. She said since being a little girl she has tried to stay on that path to get her there. She quoted proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all of your ways acknowledge Him , and He will direct your path."
The life that she has lived before her God and family is of a great comfort to all of us. Though none of us would choose for her to leave this world at this time, she is comfortable with it. I am a firm believer that when you have lived life well, you can embrace death well.
